October

well it's about that time that i contribute to the loveshack blog. October was a busy month around here, beginning with a spontaneous road trip down to harrisonburg, VA for a Rubiks cube party. sam and bev kept that car alive with good singing, jokes, and bev's whining about having to pee while i steered ole Lucy down the dark highway. we made quite an entrance into JMU and almost dangerously surprised brian and his roommates. by the way, we look goooood.



fall break included a trip home to see my friends from the Netherlands who i used to stay with on my trips there. This time they came to our home and got to meet all of our families.

we also cut x's hair one afternoon before dinner at ed's. and by we, i mean chels and sam. i helped with one slice. we also took advantage of the occasion to leave a little surprise in ed's fridge....



first snow happened early this year!!! still in october. but that meant an early trip to RITTERS! peanut butter hotcakes hit the spot. ed showed up in shorts, but the rest of us really bundled up. although my blood was cruising pretty fast because of the EXTRAORDINARY events preceding ritters in the world series. Go Phils!







and we finished up october with a trick-or-treat bonanza with the Somalis. there are 2 new babies in the family, but that didn't stop the older kids trying to amass the most amount of candy their bellies could hold.
